PROFITEERING MILLIE’S PROSPERITY BLUES is an 8x6 signed print. Stuff I adapted to make the collage for the print came from my ephemera stash including a b&w photo of a 1930s woman with a tie that says “Bring Back Prosperity,” and vintage 1920s sheet music cover called “I’ve Got The Profiteering Blues.” Here’s a sample lyric.
“Long, long ago, prices were low, That is like a dream now to me, A little pay, would go a very long way, A loaf of bread now is a luxury, I'm disgusted through and through, Here's what I would like to do, Just like Rip Van Winkle, I would like to sleep, Until the cost of living once again is cheap.”
